Transportation at St. Stephens Indian School
The Transportation Department ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable transport of students and district employees. Our dedicated team of bus drivers adheres to all state regulations governing school bus operations and traffic laws to provide secure travel for all riders.
Bus Rules and Guidelines
Riding the school bus is a privilege to ensure safe and respectful travel for every student. To maintain a secure and pleasant environment, we ask all riders to adhere to the following rules:
- Do not throw objects inside or outside the bus.
- Maintain an acceptable noise level, as determined by the driver or other school staff.
- Keep the bus clean and dispose of trash in proper containers.
- Remain seated throughout the ride.
- Keep hands, feet, and belongings to yourself.
- Avoid bringing glass containers onto the bus.
- Always keep aisles clear.
- Do not engage in activities that compromise your safety or that of others.
- Follow all instructions provided by the bus driver or other school staff.
- The school, bus driver, and staff are not responsible for personal items left on the bus.
These rules ensure a safe and respectful travel environment for everyone.

Our transportation system covers key areas to serve our students efficiently. Below are the current bus routes and their assigned drivers:
- Route #33: West Riverton, Federal/Rendezvous Road – Driver: Heidi Anesi
- Route #34: East Riverton/Mazet – Driver: Tova Miller
- Route #35: Ft. Washakie, Blue Sky Hwy, Plunket, 17 Mile Road – Driver: Charles LoneDog
- Route #37: Beaver Creek, Littleshield Road, Gas Hills, Riverton – Driver: Fergie Littleshield
- Route #38: Ben Gay Heights, Great Plains Housing, Arapahoe, C’Hair Lane, Miller Lane – Driver: Wayne Brown
