Student Services at St. Stephens Indian School

Our student services team provides a wide range of programs to ensure that all students feel safe, supported, and prepared to learn—from kindergarten through high school.

Counseling and Guidance Services

School counselors provide age-appropriate lessons, resources, and support that help students build strong emotional foundations, make healthy choices, and confidently navigate change.

Elementary and Middle School Counseling (Grades K–8)

Our counseling program for grades K–8 focuses on building confidence, managing emotions, and developing healthy relationships. Counselors deliver schoolwide instruction and targeted support tailored to each stage of development.

Growth Mindset

All students participate in lessons that foster a growth mindset. They learn that effort, challenges and mistakes are essential parts of learning. We teach students how to reframe setbacks and stay motivated.

We emphasize positive behavior and a respectful school climate. Our student incentive program rewards kindness, responsibility, leadership, and academic effort.

We take a proactive approach to helping students succeed by:

  • Recognizing good choices.
  • Celebrating positive behavior.
  • Encouraging consistent effort in school.

Students earn tickets for actions like arriving on time, staying on task, helping others, and maintaining a positive attitude. These tickets can be used in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly drawings and rewards.
